Zedd Bio

Born Anton Zaslavski on September 2, 1989, in Saratov, Soviet Union, DJ and producer Zedd learned how to play the drums and the piano when he was only four years old. His interest in making electronic music and producing his own beats grew when he entered his teenage years, and in 2009, he began to make electronic music on his own. He gained widespread recognition with his very successful remixes of Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites”, followed by Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and “Marry the Night”. In 2012, Zedd was signed to Interscope Records, through which he was able to release “Spectrum”, his debut single that peaked at #5 in the United States. His debut album Clarity was released in 2012, the title song of which was nominated at the iHeart Radio Music Awards for EDM Song of the Year in 2014. Zedd would go on to produce a total of three tracks on the 2013 Lady Gaga album Artpop, later releasing the very successful single “Stay the Night” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore.
