The Script is a Celtic-influenced pop-rock band formed in 2001 in Dublin, Ireland. After taking part in Irish boy-band Mytown, vocalist Danny O'Donoghue, and guitarist Mark Sheehan recruited drummer Glen Power and released two top 5 hits, “We Cry” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”. In 2008 their self-titled full-length album was nominated to the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year. The band also opened concerts for U2 and Paul McCartney in 2009. Their second album “Science and Faith” was released in 2010 and reached the Top Five in U.S. and Australia. The following year the trio sold out concert tickets in South Africa and Ireland. O'Donoghue appeared as a coach for The Voice U.K. alongside will.i.am, with whom the band released the single “Hall of Fame”. Between 2013 and 2019 The Script released four more albums and toured the U.S. with OneRepublic.
