Lamb of God is an American heavy metal bad from Richmond, Virginia. Its members are Randy Blythe (vocals), guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, Chris Adler (drums), and John Campbell (bass).
Lamb of God was formed in 1994 under a different name, Burn the Priest. As Burn the Priest, they played death metal and released one self-titled album before changing their musical style and name to Lamb of God in 2000, releasing the album New American Gospel. This was followed by the As the Palaces Burn in 2003, and the wildly successful Ashes of the Wake in 2004, featuring the singles Laid to Rest and crowd favorite, Now You’ve Got Something to Die For.
2005 saw the release of the live album Killadelphia, chronicling their live performances in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 2006’s Sacrament earned the band further success, with songs such as Redneck and Walk with Me in Hell among its roster. Wrath and Resolution were released in 2009 and 2012, respectively, before the band experienced setbacks. They returned in 2015 with their eighth album, VIII: Sturm und Drang.
