Javier Colon is an American singer and songwriter, born on April 29, 1978, in Stratford, Connecticut. He is known for competing in the NBC singing competition The Voice in 2011. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine served as his mentor on the show, and a number of his performances on The Voice became hits on the Hot 100 list. In December that year, he released the EP, A Very Acoustic Christmas. Before scoring a solo contract with Capitol Records in 2002, Javier was the singer of the Derek Trucks Band. His self-titled debut was released in 2003, followed by Left of Center in 2006. He released his third recording, titled The Truth: Acoustic EP, on his own label in 2010. The next year, he released Come Through for You and was nominated for the Breakout Artist Award at the Teen Choice Awards.
