Sharlene Taulé (full name Sharlene Taulé Ponciano) is a Dominican-American singer, songwriter, and actress, born May 11, 1989, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Before becoming famous, Taulé attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, a prominent school for actors in the making, stationed in New York. Taulé became known in 2011 when she portrayed the role of Katty on Nickelodeon's Latin America television series Grachi. In 2013, Taulé joined the cast of Pasión Prohibida, a Spanish romance-drama telenovela, portraying the role of Camila Barrera. Her filmography also includes Bravetown (2015), an American indie musical film, where Taulé portrayed the role of Angie, playing alongside an established Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel, as well as Lucas Till. Taulé's music career is rich with multiple singles that drew the attention of the audience, gaining millions of views on YouTube. Taulé performs under her first name, Sharlene, and her singles feature many known Latin pop stars.
