NMIXX is a South Korean girl pop group consisting of seven members (Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin). Once called JYPn, this all girls group was formed by SQU4D, a subsidiary of JYP Entertainment in 2021, and already has an album in their name called “Ad Mare.”
NMIXX, which stands for New and Mixx, symbolizes diversity and togetherness. Unlike typical pop groups and bands, members of the K-pop group had no prior friendship. They were selected from dance videos and song covers organized by JYP Entertainment.
Each member contributes something different in terms of singing and performance. Haewon is the lead vocalist, while Lily is only a vocalist. Sullyoon and Bae are vocalists and dancers, while Jinni, Jiwoo, and Kyujin are rappers, vocalists, and dancers.
In January 2022, JYP announced the group “NMIXX.” One month later, the group announced the release of their debut album “Ad Mare.” The album peaked at number one in Korea Music charts and has sold over 483,000 copies in Korea.
