They Might Be Giants is an eclectic pop-rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1982 by John Flansburgh (vocals, guitar) and John Linnell (vocals, accordion, keyboards). The duo was later joined by Dan Miller, Marty Beller, and Danny Weinkauf, and has entered the Children’s music genre. After their self-titled debut in 1986 and an MTV single by the name “Don’t Let’s Start”, full-length Flood went out in 1990, a certified gold release. In the ‘1990s, they released three more albums and toured with musicians Pere Ubu, Tony Maimone, and Brian Doherty. The next decade saw the band producing retrospective 20th-anniversary material and also making children’s music, with a song for Neil Gaiman’s movie Coraline and a 2008 educational DVD called Here Comes Science.
