Having first gained recognition as a contestant on the show X Factor, Cher Lloyd was born in Worcestershire, England, on July 28, 1993. Cher Lloyd auditioned for the 2010-2011 season of X Factor, and after many ups and downs with her performances and with the judges, she finished the season at fourth place. Shortly after ending the season, she was signed by Syco Music to begin creating her own tracks. Cher Lloyd released her debut single “Swagger Jagger” in 2001, which shot to the #7 slot on the UK Singles Chart. Her second single, recorded with Mike Posner, was entitled “With Ur Love”, and sold over 70,000 copies the first week. Sticks and Stones, her debut album, was released later in 2011, selling just until 200,000 copies in a few short months.
Cher Lloyd was quickly signed to Epic Records in the U.S., and released her very popular single “Want U Back”, which went to #4 on the US iTunes Chart.
