Nicholas Ryan Allen, widely known as Nick Allen, is a highly skilled American professional baseball player specializing in the positions of shortstop and second baseman in Major League Baseball. He was born in San Diego, California, United States, on October 8, 1998.
Allen's passion for the sport blossomed during his formative years, where he honed his skills at Francis Parker School. Showing immense talent and dedication, Allen chose to forgo college and instead pursued a professional career by entering the MLB Draft. In 2017, his dreams came to fruition when he was selected in the third round by the Oakland Athletics. Throughout his tenure with the Athletics, Allen showcased exceptional athleticism and a strong defensive presence, playing alongside notable teammates such as Tony Kemp, Shintaro Fujinami, and Brent Rooker.
In the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, he represented the United States baseball team and contributed significantly to their success, ultimately securing a silver medal for his country.
