Fernando Gabriel Tatís Medina Jr., known as Fernando Tatís Jr., is a Dominican professional baseball player who plays as a shortstop in Major League Baseball. He was born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, on January 2, 1999.
Fernando spent his formative years playing for the Arizona League Padres, Tri-City Dust Devils, San Antonio Missions, and the Estrellas de Oriente, but he made his Major League debut in 2019 with the San Diego Padres. Throughout his time with the San Diego Padres, Fernando played alongside Manny Machado, Juan Soto, Yu Darvish, Joe Musgrove, and Ha Seong Kim.
His career highlights include the 2021 All-Star, All-MLB First Team, Silver Slugger Award (, and NL home run leader.
