David Hyde Pierce (born April 3, 1959) is an actor and director from the United States. From 1993 through 2004, Pierce played psychiatrist Dr. Niles Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier, for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Pierce was also nominated for a Tony Award in 2007 for his performance as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in the musical Curtains.
He is well renowned for his roles as Frank Prady in eight episodes of The Good Wife on television and Henry Newman in the smash comedy film Wet Hot American Summer and its television spin-offs.
