Amanda Abbington is an English actress known for her appearances on British TV series. Amanda was born Amanda Jane Smith on January 28, 1974, in London England. She began acting in the early ‘90s when she had roles in TV series like The Bill, Bernard’s Watch, and Wycliffe, and after the turn of the millennium she continued to act in series like 20 Things to Do Before You're 30, The Robinsons, and Man Stroke Woman. Her biggest roles came in the 2010’s when she got starring roles in the TV series Mr Selfridge and the BBC adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock. Amanda has appeared on the silver screen in the movies Crooked House, Another Mother’s Son, and Three Pints and a Rabbi.
