Daniel Levy Bio

Daniel Levy is a writer, director, actor, and producer of Canadian origin. Levy started as a host on a television show ‘MTV Live’ on MTV Canada. Levy got noticed after he co-hosted MTV Canada’s ‘The After Show’ with Jessi Cruickshank. In the following years, Levy wrote and directed his show for MTV. He made his first appearance as an actor in the TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Daniel with his father Eugene Levy formed his own production company titled ‘Not A Real Company Productions’ in 2013. The first project that came out of this production company was Schitt’s Creek. Schitt’s Creek went on for six seasons after which he hosted and co-hosted many shows and award ceremonies. Schitt’s Creek came back on TV in July 2020. Levy won 15 Primetime Emmy awards including ‘Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series’, ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series’, ‘Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series’, and ‘Outstanding Comedy Series’.
