Alex Prager Bio
Alex Prager is an American art photographer, director, artist, and screenwriter, born on November 1, 1979, in Los Angeles, California. She began her photographic career inspired by a William Eggleston exhibition at the Getty Museum. Six months later, Alex had her first exhibition, influenced by Enrique Metinides and Arthur Fellig. After that, she began to exhibit regularly in prestigious galleries such as the Lotte Museum of Art in Seoul, South Korea, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in Los Angeles, and the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow, Russia, and others. Her breakthrough moment came in 2011 when The New York Times Magazine director of photography, Kathy Ryan, commissioned her to shoot 12, 1-minute films. Alex won an Emmy for her Touch of Evil short films, which starred Brad Pitt, Gary Oldman, George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, and Kirsten Dunst.
