Jon Lester was born Jonathan Tyler Lester in Tacoma, Washington on January 7, 1984. He was the second round pick of the Boston Red Sox in the 2002 MLB Amateur Draft. He currently plays for Chicago Cubs and serves as the pitcher. The Red Sox traded him to the Oakland Athletics in 2014, and he became a free agent in October of the same year. By December, he decided to sign with the Chicago Cubs. During the course of his career, he had been in five All-Star Games. He also bagged the Hutch Award in 2008 and the Babe Ruth Award and NLCS MVP in 2016. He had been the Pitcher of the Month five times. His team became the World Series Champion three times, and in 2018, he was the NL wins leader.
