Marlee Matlin Bio
Marlee Matlin is an actress born on 24th August 1965 in Illinois, United States. She made her acting debut at a very young age. She starred in the romantic comedy film “Children of a Lesser God” in 1986, for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. She’s the youngest actor to win the Best Actress category and the first deaf performer to clinch the coveted Academy Award. From 1991 to 1993, he appeared in the series “Reasonable Doubts,” for which she was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.
She made guest appearances in the series “Seinfeld” in 1993, “Picket Fences” in 1993, and “The Practice” in 2000. From 2004 to 2005 she starred in “Law & Order: Special Victims Units.” Her role in the comedy-drama film “CODA” in 2021 earned her Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
