Guillermo del Toro Bio
Guillermo del Toro Gómez was born on 9th October, 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is a movie director, actor, producer, and writer. Guillermo is known for “Hellboy”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, “The Shape of Water”, “Pacific Rum”, “Crimson Peak”, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”, “Cronos”, and many more. He’s also known for inserting insects and insect imagery in his works, using archangels and religious symbols, using dominant colors in his movies and using Gothic architecture. Time Magazine considers him to be one of the “50 young leaders for the new millenium”. Awards: won Oscars for Best Achievement in Directing, Best Motion Picture of the Year and Best Writing, Original Screenplay. He was nominated for an Oscar – Best Original Screenplay for “The Shape of Water”.
