Abir Chatterjee is an actor born on 18th November 1980 in Kolkata, India. He started his acting career in 2009 with the romance drama film “Cross Connection”. He is also recognized for playing Detective Byomkesh Bakshi in different movie series. He also appeared in the suspense thriller film “The Royal Bengal Tiger”. In 2014, he appeared in the Sandip Ray-directed thriller film “Badshahi Angti”.
That same year, he played the lead role in the Ranjan Ghosh-directed cult love tragedy film “Hrid Majharey”. He went on to appear in several films which earned him a place in the list of Calcutta Times' Most Desirable Men of 2014. He was named in the same list in 2019. Abir has also been the host of the reality singing competition “Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”. He made his debut in the Hindi industry in 2022 with the TV series “Avrodh”.
