Erra Bio

Erra is an American progressive metalcore band named after the Akkadian god of war and plague. Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, high school friends Jesse Cash, Alex Ballew, Garrison Lee, Adam Hicks and Alan Rigdon formed Erra in 2009. Erra released two EP’s; ‘Erra’ in 2009 followed by ‘Andromeda’ in 2010. In 2011, Tragic Hero Records tapped the band to sign with them and released their first album, ‘Impulse’. In 2012, they released their second album, ‘Augment’ which gave the band more popularity and recognition. By 2014, Erra signed to Sumerian Records and released an EP titled ‘Moments of Clarity’ which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. By 2016, vocalist J.T. Cavey replaced Eubank as well as the addition of guitarist Sean Price. With Cavey, Erra released their third album, ‘Drift’, which also peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The band then went on a 10 year Sumerian Records tour with bands Veil of Maya, After the Burial, Bad Omens and Born of Osiris. Their most recent album, ‘Neon’, arrived in 2018, again with the success of landing at number 1 on the US Billboard 200’s Heatseekers Albums Chart.
