Heidi Bio
Heidi is a Canadian DJ based in the U.K. Her real name is Heidi van den Amstel and she was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She started playing at local clubs and venues, until she made a name for herself in Canada and decided to move to London in 2000. She signed with Koobla Records before being invited by the BBC to do her own radio program “In New DJs We Trust”. In 2009 she started a series of events called the Jackathons, which consisted of electronic shows across the globe. In those events, she invited fellow DJs such as Soul Clap, Nicolas Jaar and Maceo Plex to perform with her. Her compilation album titled “Jackathons” was released in 2011 on the label Get Physical. She has toured all over the world, performing at major festivals such as Exit, Detroit’s Movement Fest and Japan’s Womb.
