Fever Ray Bio
Fever Ray is a Sweden electro pop musician and singer. Her real name is Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson and she was born on the 7th of April, 1975, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Andersson is part of the duo The Knife, alongside her brother Olof Dreijer, formed in 1999. After the release of their album “Silent Shout” and the associated tour, she started her solo project under the name Fever Ray. Her signature sound involves dark slow beats, as well as her dreamy voice using pitch-shifting. She released her self titled which she self produced, mixed and recorded in 2009, and it got highly positive reviews from major music critics. The album also made it to the top ten US Heatseeker Chart. She performed as Fever Ray on several festivals like Coachella.
