Dirty Projectors Bio

Dirty Projectors is a band which was formed in Brooklyn, New York. The members of the band include Nat Baldwin, Maia Friedman, Felicia Douglass, Mike Daniel Johnson, David Longstreth, and Kristin Slipp. The debut album released by Dirty Projectors, The Glad Fact, was released in 2003. In the same year, the band released the compilation Morning Better Last! and this was followed by Slaves’ Graves and Ballads in 2004. After a year, another album, The Getty Address, was released. In 2006, Dirty Projectors released the EP New Attitude and another album, Rise Above, was issued in 2007. Bitte Orca was released as another album in 2009 and the band’s collaboration with Björk, Mount Mount Wittenberg Orca was released in 2010. In 2012, the band released the EP About to Die as well as the album Swing Lo Magellan.
