“The World Is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die” is an indie rock band formed in Willimantic, Connecticut, United States in 2009. The band gained its popularity during the new wave of emo phases between the late 2000s and early 2010s. The band went through a number of line-up changes before eventually settling on vocalist David Bello, bassist Josh Cyr, guitarists Nicole Shanholtzer and Greg Horbal, and drummer Steven Buttery. Before the release of their first full-length album, “Whenever, If Ever” in 2013, they had issued a few demos, singles, and an EP. “Assorted Works”, a compilation album of the band's songs, singles, and other releases, was issued by the band in 2018. Additionally, they have over 117 thousand active monthly listeners on Spotify.
