Sweater Curse Bio

Sweater Curse is an Australian indie-rock band formed in Brisbane in 2015. They consist of Monica Sottile (bass and vocals), Chris Langenberg (guitar and vocals), and Rei Matsumoto Bingham (drums). The trio made its debut in 2017 with the single “Don’t Call Me”, produced by Andre Johansson-Walder. It wasn’t long before they started touring Australia, sharing the stage with The Jungle Giants, Grinspoon, Violent Soho, and Middle Kids. In 2019 their first EP “See You” went out and was included in Paste’s magazine “20 Albums of the Year”. That same year they won a Triple J Unearthed contest to play the Laneway festival. Their second EP “Push // Pull” was released in 2020, produced by Sam Cromack. It featured lyrics by Alex Lahey in the teaser single “Close”.
