Karl-Heinz Urban is a New Zealand actor best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Wellington, New Zealand, on June 7, 1972. Karl began his acting career in 1991 when he joined the cast of the series Shark in the Park, but he became famous in 1996 when he acted in the series Xena: Warrior Princess. Karl has had an eventful career with a filmography that contains the blockbusters The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Thor: Ragnarok, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, The Bourne Supremacy, Star Trek Beyond, and Red, but he is best known for starring in the action-drama series The Boys alongside Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, and Giancarlo Esposito. Karl won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
