Jessica Alice Cave Lloyd (born May 5, 1987) is an English actress, comedian, and cartoonist most known for her role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movie series and her presentations in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Cave was born in London as the second eldest of five siblings. Her father is a doctor in general practice while her mother, Deborah, is the daughter of Tasmanian-born Sir Charles Philip Haddon-Cave, former Chief Secretary to Hong Kong. Bebe Cave, her younger sister, is also an actor.
She released a book of cartoon doodles called Love Sick, with some of the images appearing as greeting cards. Sunrise, a humorous play based on her life and relationships, premiered in 2019, while Sunset, Cave's debut novel, was released in 2021.
She was cast as Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince during an open casting call on July 1, 2007, beating over 7,000 other females who auditioned.
