Tyler, The Creator Bio
Born Tyler Gregory Okonma on March 6, 1991, Tyler the Creator has risen to fame as the founder of the hip-hop group Odd Future. He learned to play the piano by the age of 14, and had a deep passion for music as well as for art. 2009 saw the release of his debut album, which he self-released, titled Bastard. Tyler the Creator then released his sophomore album Goblin, and the single that was made popular from this release was “Yonkers”, for which he made a music video. He and Odd Future member Hodgy Beats performed the single as well as the song “Sandwitches” on the show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in 2011. Tyler the Creator then released his third album Wolf in 2013, just after making the announcement about the Odd Future television show Loiter Squad. It sold 90,000 copies its first week, and went to the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
