Donnie Yen is a Hong Kong actor, film director, producer, martial artist, action choreographer, and multiple world wushu tournament champion. He is one of Hong Kong’s biggest action stars and one of the highest paid actors in Asia. He started kung fu at nine years old and at fourteen started practicing wushu seriously. At sixteen years old he started taekwondo. He landed his first acting role in 1984 in the film Drunken Tai Chi and continued landing roles in the films Tiger Cage, Tiger Cage 2, Cheetah on Fire, Once Upon a Time in China II, Iron Money, Hero among Heroes, Circus Kid, Legend of the Wolf, Hero, Blade II, Dragon Tiger Gate, Flash Point, Ip Man 2, Golden Chicken 3, Chasing the Dragon and many more. In 1989 he landed his debut role on a television show in the series Fei Fu Kwan Ying and has since had roles in the shows Mo Min Kap Sin Kung, A New Life, Crime File, The Kung Fu Master, Fist of Fury, Codename: The Puma, and Star Wars Rebels. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won 4 Hong Kong Film Awards, 3 Golden Horse Awards, a Golden Bauhinia Award among others.
