James D’Arcy, also known as Simon Richard D'Arcy, is an English actor, screenwriter, and director best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England, on August 24, 1975.
James began his acting career in 1996 when he appeared in the TV series Silent Witness, Dalziel and Pascoe, and Brookside, and she has since had recurring roles in the TV series Red Election, Deadline, Leonardo, The Hot Zone, Homeland, Agent Carter, Those Who Kill, and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. James' filmography includes the blockbusters Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Let's Be Cops, Jupiter Ascending, Exorcist: The Beginning, and Dunkirk, which features Fionn Whitehead, Barry Keoghan, Tom Hardy, and Tom Glynn-Carney.
James won a Fantasporto International Fantasy Film Award for Best Actor.
