Arin Ray is an American pop singer and songwriter born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 2, 1995. He is best known for finishing in 10th place in the second season of the United States version of X Factor in 2012. Ray also participated in the first season of the U.S. X Factor in 2011, but was eliminated in the bootcamp round. While on the X Factor he was mentored by Britney Spears and Paula Abdul. In 2013 he self released the single “Turn It Up” on SoundCloud and in 2016 self released the EP Phases. He has written songs for artists like Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, K. Michelle, Jahkoy, Ro James and others. Ray was signed with the label Interscope and in 2018 released his debut major-label album titled Platinum Fire featuring artists like Childish Major, Nez & Rio, and Terrace Martin.
