Hailing from Manchester, England, 808 State is an English music group that creates and performs electronic and alternative dance music. The make-up of the group has changed over the years, but it currently consists of Graham Massey and Andrew Barker. 808 State was formed in 1987, and they released their debut studio project Newbuild in 1988. Their discography includes the hit singles Pacific State, Pacific 202, In Yer Face featuring Bicep, Pacific – 707, and the albums Transmission Suite, Outpost Transmission, Don Solaris, and Gorgeous. Their music was featured in the album Armada Electronic Elements Essentials alongside Henrik Schwarz, Shadow Child, Francesca Lombardo, and Lane 8.
