Ash Grunwald Bio
Ash Grunwald is a musician born on September 5, 1976, in Melbourne, Australia. He is known for creating blues music. He learned to play guitar and bass under the tutelage of his grandfather. Grunwald recorded his very first cover with his grandfather, a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s Going Down Slow. He grew up listening to the blues show on the radio and at the age of 26, he decided to pursue a full-time career as a musician. He released his first album, titled Introducing, in 2002. The album is a solo endeavor, featuring only Grunwald on the guitar and stompbox. 2006 marked his first time entering the Australian charts with his album Give Signs, his first set of all-original material. In 2012, he released Trouble's Door, which reached the Top 30. Grunwald has toured all over the world and collaborated with many artists, including Terry Evans, The Living End, Ian Perez, and Pete Wilkins. Grunwald has been recognized for his music, including several nominations for Best Blues & Roots Album for the ARIA Awards and Best Independent Blues and Roots Album for the AIR Awards. In 2006, Grunwald started his own label, Delta Grooves Records.
