Adam Richard Sandler is an award-winning actor, comedian, producer, and musician who first found success as a writer-turned-cast member of Saturday Night Live in 1990, for which he was later nominated for a Primetime Emmy. SNL launched the Brooklyn-born actor into stardom with roles in hit films Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Wedding Singer (1998), and Big Daddy (1999). His knack for comedy was challenged as he took on more serious roles in 2002’s Punch Drunk Love, and Click (2006). Sandler formed his own production company, Happy Madison Productions, which has produced almost all of his films to date. He often works with a core group of actor/friends and fellow SNL castmates. His musical talents and witty lyrics have produced a series of five albums, four of which have gone gold or platinum.
