Aimee Lou Wood Bio

Aimee Lou Wood was born in Stockport, England on February 3, 1995. She is an actress who plays one of the central characters on Netflix’s comedy series ‘‘Sex Education’’, alongside co-stars Asa Butterfield and Gilian Anderson. 

She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she was involved in various productions such as ‘‘Scuttlers’’ and ‘‘Vinegar Tom’’. Graduating from RADA in 2017, Aimee obtained a BA Degree in Acting (H Level). Other than acting, there are many other skills which she can be praised for, some of which are singing, writing, stand-up, dancing, and stage combat. 

Aimee is also credited for the role in a short movie ‘‘Hen’’, and her ‘‘Sex Education’’ screen debut, where she plays the character Aimee Gibbs, brought her a 2021 nomination for the British Academy Television Awards in the Best Female Comedy Performance category. Initially, Aimee auditioned for the role of Lily. Her first lead actress credit is the role in the film ‘‘Living’’, which is a remake of ‘‘Ikiru’’, a 1952 Japanese film.
