Aisling Bea Bio

Aisling Bea is an Irish actress and comedian born in County Kildare, in 1984. She is a regular comedy panelist, having made appearances in shows like "8 Out of 10 Cats," "Celebrity Squares," "Would I Lie to You?," "Never Mind the Buzzcocks," "The Big Fat Quiz of Everything," and "The Jonathan Ross Show," among others. In 2016 she gained notoriety as an actress in the drama "The Fall," however her breakthrough came with the 2019 creation of her comedy show "This Way Up," which she also stars. Bea earned a 2020 BAFTA Award as a Breakthrough talent for her show. In 2012, Bea became the second woman to earn the "So You Think You're Funny" award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. A year later she also won the Best Newcomer at the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
