Aled Jones Bio

Aled Jones is a Welsh-born singer who’s also done some presenting for radio and TV. At age nine he joined a local boys’ choir as lead soloist, with a remarkable treble voice. As a teenager, his first break came with a cover of the theme from an animated film “The Snowman,” where Jones’ cover hit #5 on the UK Singles chart. By age sixteen he had performed for Pope John Paul II, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Jones has gone on to have a vivid career on BBC programming, appearing on TV shows such as “Songs of Praise,” “Strictly Come Dancing,” “Escape to the Country,” and “Daybreak.” In 2013, Jones was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire, and in 2014 was named as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music.
