Alexandra Billings, whose full birth name is Alexandra Scott Billings, is an American singer and actress who was born on March 28, 1962, in Schaumburg, Illinois. She is known as the second openly transgender woman to play a transgender role on TV, which was for the 2005 movie “Romy and Michele: In the Beginning”. She began her career in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s when she began participating in beauty contests. She then began working as an actress in Chicago. She debuted on TV in 2003 and is popularly known for her recurring role of Davina in the Amazon show “Transparent” and has also played transgender character in famous series like “ER”, “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Grey’s Anatomy”. In 2016 she received the Human Rights Campaign Visibility Award for her active labor for the LGBTQ community.
