Amy Jo Johnson Bio

Actress and filmmaker Amy Jo Johnson, born 6th October, 1970 in Massachusetts, lived every child’s dream in the role of the iconic pink Power Ranger. Amy was a gymnast at a young age, which would help her with getting the role in the Power Rangers. She studied acting at the American Musical Dramatic Academy. Her role as Kimberly Hart on both Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the movie and the TV series, sprung her acting career into action. After stretching her acting skills in many projects, Amy scored a main role in the show Felicity as Julie Emrick. Amy made recurring appearances in The Division as Stacy Reynolds, Wildfire as Rina Sharp, and a role in the popular series Covert Affairs as Hayley Price. Amy also appeared in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, What About Brian, Pursuit of Happiness, Perfect Body, Without Limits, Liars Club, Islander, Summer Song, Coming Home for Christmas, and The Space Between. Her acting chops won her a Best Actress in a Leading Role Award at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival for her role in Lines; she also won a Shelly Award for Woman Filmmakers at the Long Island Film Festival for her filmmaking skills in the movie Bent.
