Anupam Tripathi is an actor born 2nd November 1988 in New Delhi, India. He is best known for playing Ali Abdul in the 2021 survival drama television series “Squid Game,” for which he won the Screen Actors Guild Award in the category Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. He started his career by appearing in plays and commercials while still at University. He made his feature film debut in 2014, playing the role of a Sri Lankan Tamil man in the drama film “Ode to My Father.”
A year later, he played Charles in the action thriller film “The Phone.” In 2016, he appeared as an Indian worker in the film “Asura: The City of Madness” and as an Indian man in the film “Lucky Key.” Tripathi made his television debut in 2015 with the television series “Hogu’s Love.” He also appeared alongside Lee Dong-Wook and Im Si-wan in the television series “Hell Is Other People” in 2019.
