ARASHI Bio

ARASHI (who is also known as Storm) is a Japanese rock band that was formed on September 15th 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. The founding members of the band include Masaki Aiba, Jun Matsumoto, Kazunari Ninomiya, Satoshi Ohno and Sho Sakurai. The band released their first platinum chart-topper Arshi No. 1 Ichigou: Arashi wa Arashi wo Yobu! which appeared as their debut album in 2001. They have since dropped strictly hits with platinum-certified tracks like Time (2007), and Boku no Miteiru Fukei (2010). Some of their most successful 2010s releases was the album Boku no Miteiru Fuukei (meaning The Scenery I’m Looking At) which was their biggest selling album. Their 2016 album Are You Happy? was also a smash hit selling over 800,000 copies. The song was used as a theme in the TV drama series starring members of the band.
