Ariana Grande (born Ariana Grande-Butera) is an American singer and actress who began her career as a part of the Broadway musical 13, before starring in Nickelodeon’s television series, Victorious (2010-2013), and then Sam & Cat (2013-2014). Her music career took off with the release of her debut album, Yours Truly (2013), which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200. The hit single, ‘The Way,’ launched the singer into stardom, showcasing her signature wide vocal range, comparable to that of Mariah Carey. Her sophomore release, My Everything (2014) spawned hits ‘Problem,’ ‘Love Me Harder,’ ‘Break Free,’ ‘and ‘Bang Bang.’ Grande has received two American Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, and two Grammy Award nominations, among others. Most recently, she concluded her record-breaking international Honeymoon Tour, and released the single, ‘Dangerous Woman,’ which will be included in the release of her third album of the same title, set for a 2016 release.
