Ashley Madekwe Bio

Ashley Madekwe is an actress born on December 6, 1981, in London, England. Madekwe attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated with a BA in acting. During her time in school, she appeared in several stage productions like Wuthering Heights and King Henry V. She began auditioning for roles in television and film, and in 2007, she landed her first motion picture role in Woody Allen’s Cassandra's Dream. She has appeared in several television series, including playing Bambi in Secret Diary of a Call Girl from 2008-2010. In 2009, she made her debut in the United States in the series The Beautiful Life. In 2011, she became a regular cast member in the series Revenge, which she played for two seasons. She left Revenge to star in the series Salem, playing the character Tituba from 2014-2016. In 2019, she starred in Henry Blake’s film, County Lines. The role earned her a nomination as Best Supporting Actress in the BAFTA Awards.
