Aterciopelados Bio
Aterciopelados is a Colombian rock band that was formed in 1993 in Bogota, Colombia. The founding members of the band were Andrea Echeverri (singer, guitarist) and Hector Buitrago (bassist, producer).
Aterciopelados is best known for their 2000 album Gozo Poderoso which broke into the Top Ten of the Billboard Top Latin Albums sales chart. The album also won the band the 2001 Latin Grammy in the Best Rock Duo/Group with Vocal category. Some of their other known albums include Oye (2000), Rio (2008), Claroscura (2018) and Tropiplop (2021). The single Play appeared in 2018 and En la ciudad de la furia followed the next year in 2019.
