Multiple-award-winning sensation Barbra Streisand is the highest-selling female singer of all time. She in a Grammy-Award-winning singer, a Tony-Award-nominated actor, and an Academy-Award nominated Director and Golden Globe winner for Best Director and Best Picture. Following her success in Broadway’s “I Can Get it For You Wholesale”, she signed with Columbia Records and released her first album, “The Barbra Streisand Album”. It received two Grammy Awards, including Best Album of the Year and was a certified gold record. Streisand collaborated with Neil Diamond on “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” a single that went to No. 1, as well as “No More Tears (Enough is Enough).” Still, her best-selling album was Guilty, and featured the top-charting hit “Woman in Love”. She released three other successful studio albums but chose to focus her career on Broadway. Her Appearance on the show “Funny Girl” was met with lots of critical acclaim. “The Broadway Album” was Streisand’s return to the top charts. She followed up Academy-award nominated and Golden-Globe-winning Yentl with Nuts, starring in the movie and also producing and writing the music for it. She then directed Prince of Tides, a story based on the Pat Conroy novel that received seven Academy Award nominations and a nomination from the Directors Guild of America for her direction. Most recently, Streisand released gold-selling album Love Is the Answer and What Matters Most in 2009 and 2011. In 2012, Streisand releaed a collection of unpublished tracks, and followed it in 2014 with a series of duetswith artists like Stevie Wonder and John Legend. She was born Barbara Joan Streisand on April 24, 1942 in New York City.
