Bear Hands Bio

Bear Hands is an American indie-electro band formed in 2006 in Brooklyn, New York. It consists of Dylan Rau, Ted Feldman, Val Loper, and T.J. Orscher. In 2007 Bear Hands released its first EP “Golden”, which earned them some notoriety and prompted a heavy touring schedule for the band, sharing the stage with acts like Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, and MGMT. In 2010 the band released its debut LP “Burning Bush Supper Club”, followed two years after by the EP “Songs from Utopia, Vol. 1”. A single titled “Giant”, from their 2014 album “Distraction”, became a Billboard Alternative Chart top ten hit, and the band went on to make appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and the late-night comedy TV show “Conan”. Two years later the band came forward with the full-length album “You'll Pay for This, Bear Hands”, and in 2019 the EP “Blue Lips” came out.
