Best Coast Bio
Best Coast is an American punk-influenced indie rock duo formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, California. It consists of guitarist and vocalist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist Bobb Bruno. After a string of independent releases, including a collaboration with Jeans Wilder, the 2009 EP “Make You Mine” put Best Coast in the eye of specialized media outlets and set the band on a U.S. tour with Vivian Girls. In 2010 the band signed with Mexican Summer label and recruited drummer Ali Koehler from Vivian Girls. Their debut album “Crazy for You” went out in July that same year, and was followed by “The Only Place” in 2012, featuring drummer Brady Miller. In 2015 the band released the Wally Gagel-produced “California Nights” and reached Billboard’s top ten independent and alternative albums charts. Three years later, the group released a children’s album titled “Best Kids”, followed two years later by the full-length album “Always Tomorrow”.
