Better Than Ezra is an American alternative rock band formed in 1988 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It originally consisted of Kevin Griffin (vocals, guitar), Joel Rundell (guitar), Tom Drummond (bass), and Cary Bonnecaze (drums). In 1990 they made their debut with “Surprise”, which was met with critical acclaim. After losing guitarist Rundell, the band relocated to Los Angeles and released “Deluxe” in 1993, an album that would be re-issued in 1995 after by Elektra records and achieved platinum status on the count of the hit single “Good”. After “Closer” (2001) a three-year break ensued, paving the way for “Before the Robots”. The band then underwent some lineup changes, not long before going on hiatus again. In 2014 a comeback with the full-length “All Together Now” ensued, produced by Tony Hoffer, followed four years later a vinyl re-issue of Deluxe also came out.
