Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a professional cricket player born on 5th February 1990 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. Kumar, who currently plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, made his first-class debut when he was 17 years old. The Royal Challengers Bangalore awarded him a contract to play in the IPL after an impressive 2008/09 season. In 2011, he moved to Pune Warriors India, but the team was dissolved, and Sunrisers Hyderabad signed him in 2014.
He helped the Sunrisers win the Indian Premier League in 2016. He was named the vice-captain of the team in 2018. His international debut came in 2012 when he played against Pakistan in ODI and T20I matches. In 2021, he became the vice-captain of India in T20I, and ODI matches against Sri Lanka. In the same year, he was called up to India’s squad that competed in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
