Eugenie Bouchard is a Canadian professional tennis player. Bouchard got her start by winning the 2012 Wimbledon girls’ title and being named WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2013. In 2014, she became the first ever female Canadian to reach the finals of a Grand Slam single when she was runner-up at the Wimbledon Championships. Later that year, she reached the semifinals at the Australian and French Opens. She eventually won the WTA Most Improved Player award for her historic 2014 season. She is currently ranked number 47 in the world.
