Body Count is a Los Angeles-based heavy metal band that was formed in 1990 by Ice-T and Ernie C. The current members of the group are Ice-T, Ernie C, Sean E Sean, Vincent Prince, Will Dorsey Jr., Juan of the Dead, and Little Ice.
Their Eponymous debut album Body Count was released in 1992, and it was received positively by listeners, receiving a Gold certification by both the RIAA and the BVMI. Body Count is known for their live performances and their hit singles Bum-Rush, Body Count’s in the House, Institutionalized 2014, and Black Hoodie. Body Count was nominated for the Best Metal Performance at the 2017 Grammys which they did not win, but they eventually won the same award at the 2020 Grammys.
